Today I went into downtown Austin to help welcome the Leadership Texas Class of '06 to their first session!  (I'm a graduate of '03). The power,  strength and diversity of the women in the room was awesome!  Who doesn't want to know that there are successful women -- from all over Texas, all types of careers -- about to embark on a learning experience some people only dream of !   They'll hear from Liz Carpenter (LBJ's Press Secretary), Sarah Weddington (nationally renowned attorney) and even the ALWAYS entertaining State of Texas Demographer Steve Murdock (he really is!).

I look forward to hearing more about the choices, differences and impact they will make on our great State of Texas!
